Mrs Crimble Dutch Fruit Loaf
A unique version of a classic fruit cake we've taken a traditional Dutch recipe called Breakfast Cake and crafted a fantastic product. This cake is Naturally low in fat, and contains and abundance of fruit, nuts and spices. This cake is best enjoyed with butter or margarine spread on a slice. As the cake has a very low fat and moisture content this makes it suitable for freezing which many of our customers often tell us is fine. Whilst this cake is wheat free it is not gluten free as it is made with rye flour which, whilst very low in gluten when compared to normal wheat flour, is above the levels recommended by the Coeliac Society.
Ingredients: rye flour, glucose-fructose syrup, candied fruit (18%) (glucose-fructose syrup, papaya 6%, orange peel 4%, sugar, water, citron peel 1%, acidity regulator: citric acid), raisins (6%), sugar, spices, almonds (1%), raising agents: sodium hydrogen carbonate and sodium acid pyrophosphate, flavouring. Cautions: contains: rye gluten, almonds. Made in a factory handling nuts.
